Elkin Mr. Lloyd "Allen" Minton, age 29, of Crestbrooke Place, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Minton was born January 25, 1975 in Wilkes County to Lloyd Arvill & Katie Weatherman Minton. Mr. Minton was a member of Grace Full Gospel Church and His Laboring Few Bikers Minstry. He was a graduate of Millers Creek Elementary School and Starmount High School. After high school he attended and graduated from Alliance Truck Driving School and was employed as a truck driver for Tyson Foods. He is survived by a daughter, Haleigh Cheyanne Minton; his father, Lloyd Arvil Minton and wife Elaine; his mother, Katie Weatherman Pardue and her husband Bill; paternal grandmother, Hattie Minton; a brother, William Leake; eight sisters, Bonita Minton Moser, Michelle Minton Vannoy, Tammy Deason, Cindy Johnson, Wendy Hamilton, Pam Kipp, Dana Larned and Connie Brazy; eight nieces and six nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 2, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bobby Prevette, Rev. Shonnie Thompson, Rev. Kenneth Pardue and Preacher Steve. Burial will follow at Sunrise Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Grace Full Gospel Church. Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin is serving the Minton family.
