Clarence Dean Moody

November 23, 1949 — June 11, 2008

Elkin Mr. Clarence Dean Moody, age 58, of Mitchell Cove Road, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Moody was born November 23, 1949 in Surry County to Raymond & Grace Burcham Moody. Mr. Moody was employed at North Elkin Tire and was a member of Rocky Ford Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: his wife, Judy Moody of the home; four brothers, Kenneth Moody, Benny Moody, Jimmy Mood and Clyde Moody all of State Road; two sisters, Evon Bowman of Ararat, VA, Kathy Greene of Clingman; boo buddy and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 13, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Rocky Ford Baptist Church by Rev. Claude Lloyd. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Moody will lie instate thirty minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
