Linville Arthur Roberts

Hamptonville Mr. Linville Arthur Roberts, age 80 of Somers Road, Hamptonville, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2004 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Roberts was born July 3, 1924 in Wilkes County to Hubert Calvin & Bessie Jane Sparks Roberts. Mr. Roberts was a veteran of the US Navy and served during WWII. He was a retired farmer and a member of Union Baptist Church in Hamptonville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Corene Gregory Roberts, an infant daughter, Tamara Jean Roberts. Survivors include: a son, Linnie Roberts and wife Jerry of Hamptonville; a daughter, Sherry Suich and husband David of Charlotte, a brother, Grafton Roberts of Hamptonville; two grandchildren, Michele Cass and Marty Roberts; four great grandchildren, Laken Cass, Devin Cass, Faith Roberts and Jaelin Roberts. Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 31, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Union Baptist Church by Rev. Kenneth Pardue. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Roberts will lie instate 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin is serving the Roberts family.
