Mack Anderson

Jonesville, Mr. Mack Anderson, age 91, of Cherry Street, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2005 in Statesville. Mr. Anderson was born February 2, 1914 in Wilkes County to Edward & Roxie Nance Anderson. Mr. Anderson was retired from Sherrill Furniture and attended the Church of God in Jonesville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Sherman Anderson and a sister, Stella Anderson Hodge. Survivors include: two sons, Mack Odell Anderson and wife Mary Jane, Roy Eugene Anderson and wife Geneva all of Statesville; a daughter, Shirley Jean Anderson of Hudson; three brothers, Bill Anderson and wife Charlotte, Don Anderson, all of Jonesville, Rev. Edward Anderson and wife Alene of Asheboro; four sisters, Ruby Harkey, Lena Simendinger and husband Richard all of Jonesville, Annie Lee Woodruff and husband Alton of Elkin, Lorene Thompson and husband Gene of Mooresville; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 27, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Eugene Moore and Rev. Phillip King. Burial will follow at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 102454, Atlanta, GA 30368-2454. Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin is serving the Anderson family.
