Traphill Mr. Moses Franklin Richardson, age 79, of Austin Traphill Road, passed away peacefully Thursday October 6, 2005 at his home in the presence of God and all his children and families. Mr. Richardson was born in Wilkes County to John Frank and Larcie Mae Richardson on February 28, 1926. He was a member of Little Stone Mountain Baptist Church and rededicated his life to Christ while at N.C. Baptist Hospital in the presence of Frank Hinson who is a dear friend to the family. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during WWII. He was a retired Carpenter. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Jean Richardson. Three sisters, Anna Bell Pruitt, Rosa Lee Mathis, Imogene Richardson. One Brother, Don Lanzie Richardson. Survivors include: Three sons and daughters in law: Ronnie Richardson and his wife Sherry, David Richardson, and Darrell Richardson and his wife Phyllis all of Traphill. Three daughters and sons in law: Karen Hayworth of Traphill, Sheila Wall and husband Randy of Zephyr. Tammy Francis and husband Doug of Pfafftown. Three Brothers, Johnsie Conway Richardson of Wilkesboro, Rayvon Richardson of Pfafftown, Johnny Ander Richardson of Roaring River. Fourteen Grandchildren, Jana Richardson, Scott Richardson, Melissa Blackburn, Chris Wood, Ritchie Hayworth, Chrystal Hughes, Shannon Martinez, Rodney Richardson, Amy Riddle, Stacy Hedrick, Amelia Richardson, Logan Richardson, Ryan Francis, Kaitlin Francis. Nine Great Grandchildren, Lacie Richardson, Lauren Richardson, Jessica Blackburn, Wesley Blackburn, Michael Wood, Martina Martinez, Nicholas Martinez, Tyler Hughes, Quanah Riddle. Funeral services will be held Tuesday October 11, 2005 at Little Stone Mountain Baptist Church at 2 pm by Rev. Walter Hutchinson and Frank Hinson. Burial will follow at Traphill Baptist Church Cemetery, with full military honors by Wilkes Co VFW post 1142. Mr. Richardson will lie instate thirty minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:30-8:30 pm at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Little Stone Mtn. Baptist Church or to Hospice of Surry County.
