Lena K. Yergler 90 resident of St. Maries, ID died Oct. 16, 2010 at St. Maries. She was born December 18, 1919 to John and Gertrude Grundhauser Kronberger at Ft. Yates, No. Dakota. She grew up in North Dakota and moved to California prior to World War II. During the War, she worked a "Rosie the Riveter" as well as maintaining trucks and pressing army uniforms. Following the War, she becamed involved in investments, purchasing and selling real estate. She also owned Orange Frozen Food Lockers in Orange, CA. She married John Yergler Aug. 12, 1972 at Reno, CA. They made their home in California until moving to Idaho in 1972. She was Active with her husband in the St. Maries Shrine Club and the Order of Eastern Star of which she was a member. Her husband died in 1997. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and raising horses. She also enjoyed boating and traveling. She was a lifetime care giver for her disabled daughter Patty. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and the Benewah Co. Sr. Citizens. She is survived by her companion Alvin Albert of St. Maries. Her son John Connell of St. Maries and daughter Colleen Kaplan of Scottsdale, AZ Also surviving are brothers Nick and Matt Kronberger and sisters Helen, Kay, Eva, , Gertrude and Ann. She was preceded in death by brother Joe, Tony and Frank Kronberger. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Connell in 2008. Funeral Services will be Friday, October 22, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. At Hodge Funeral Home , St. Maries with Fr. Timothy Ritchey officiating, Officers of the Order of Eastern Star will also conduct their services. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the St. Maries Eagles Lodge.
