Ann Marie Luffman, 66, of Elkin, NC died July 17, 2005 at Four Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care. She was a daughter of the late Carl and Erma Watson Absher and was preceded in death by a son Keith Luffman who died in 1990 and a sister Rose Absher who died in 2004. She lived her life with passion, loving and spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid gardener and especially loved growing roses which she shared freely with others. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in Charity United Methodist Church, Elkin, NC with the Revs. Claude Lloyd and Rex Cranfill officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin, NC Wednesday evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m.. Survivors include her loving husband, Kenneth of 47 years, her daughter Robin Luffman Bowen and husband Don of Hendersonville, NC, one brother: Ronald and wife Martha Absher, two sisters: Mabel Spicer and Georgie and husband Joe Smith all of Elkin, NC, one granddaughter: Bryn Marie Bowen all of Hendersonville, NC, two step granddaughters: Erika and husband Nick Ward and Sabrina Bowen all of Hendersonville, NC, one step-great grandson: Gage Ward.
