Bo Salley

October 25, 1948 — November 3, 2010

Mr. Steven "Bo" Salley, 62 of Jonesville, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mr. Salley was born October 25, 1948 in Surry County to Robert and Elsie Vestal Salley. He was a member of Elkin Valley Baptist Church and was the owner of Salley's Garage and Radiator Repair. Mr. Salley was well loved by all who knew him. Mr. Salley was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by a daughter, Greta Cave and husband Milton of Elkin; his companion, Wanda Collins of Jonesville; two step children, Starla Myers of Elkin and Hardin Collins of Jonesville; five brothers, Gary Salley and wife Gayle, Eddie Salley and wife Bertha, all of Elkin, Lavorn Salley and wife Linda of Jonesville, Tiny Salley and wife Phyllis and Harrison "Rainbow" Hayes, all of Elkin; a step grandson, William Myers; three cousins, Rosa Harris, Gene Pardue, both of Jonesville, and James Salley of Yadkinville; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Elkin Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Blevins, Rev. Steve Mahaffey, and Ryan Salley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Elkin Funeral Service.
