Leora Moncus Winkles

Yadkinville Mrs. Leora Bray Moncus Winkles, age 81, of Willowbrook Health Care in Yadkinville, passed away Friday September 24, 2004. Mrs. Winkles was born in Yadkin County May 21, 1923 to William Hayne and Mary Della Bryant Bray. Mrs. Winkles was a retired beautician and was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Elmer Moncus, her second husband, Walter Winkles, Four brothers, Clyne Bray, Sam Bray, Ed Bray, Doyce Bray. Two sisters, Eula Swaim, Pernie Haynes. Survivors include, A daughter Sharon Bailey of Winston Salem. Two sisters, Opal Byrd of N. Wilkesboro, Susan Longworth of Winston Salem. A granddaughter, Traci Bailey. Funeral services will be held Sunday September 26, 2004 at 3:00 pm at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Paul Sloan. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to Family Focus Group of Willowbrook Health Care, 333 E.
