Henry Hutchinson

December 20, 1922 — May 17, 2004

Thurmond Mr. Henry Hugh Hutchinson, age 81, of South Center Church Road, passed away Monday, May 17, 2004 at Yadkin Nursing Care Center. Mr. Hutchinson was born December 20, 1922 in Heaters, West Virginia to William Finley & Edna Skidmore Hutchinson. Mr. Hutchinson was retired from Allowy Steel Company and attended Elkin Valley Baptist Church. He was a member of United Steelworkers of America. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: his wife, Josephine Stonestreet Hutchinson of the home; two stepdaughters, Alice Staples and husband Larry of Thurmond, Faye Alexander and husband John of Roaring River; two sisters, Thelma Lively and husband Charlie of Heaters, W. Va., Audrey King of Sutton, W. Va.; four step grandchildren, Shonn Ross, Amy Hardy, Frances Staples, Andrew Staples; four step great grandchildren, Dustin Shores, Zachary Hardy, Tanner Hardy and Alexia Tysor. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 20, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Johnny Blevins. Burial will follow at Old State Road Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Old State Road Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin is serving the Hutchinson family.
