Henry Earl Mullins 78 longtime Fernwood, ID resident, died October 5, 2011 at St. Maries, ID He was born May 8, 1933 to Joseph and Edith Gatewood Mullins at Lamont, MO. He grew up in the Lamont, MO area and as a young man, he farmed with his father there. Henry served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 and was stationed in Korea. Following his discharge, he returned home to Missouri. He married Eula Maxine Patterson in 1955 and they made their home at Herndon, MO here he worked in farming, timber harvesting and for a shoe manufacturing factory. Henry later moved his family to Eagle Mont, WA. In the 1960's where he worked for Crown Z Mill . Later they moved to McMinville, OR where he worked raising turkeys as well as farming wheat. In the early 1970's, he returned to Missouri where he and his wife were divorced. He married Shirley LaRowe on Dec. 7, 1974 at Sweet Springs, MO. He worked a the Skelly Truck Stop at Sweet Springs. He became disabled and retired in 1993. He and Shirley moved to Fernwood, ID that same year. Henry enjoyed watching World Federation Wrestling on T.V. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed fishing and re-cycling. He was a member of the Southern Baptist faith. Henry is survived by his wife at the family home. Also surviving are his sons and daughters-in-law Daniel and Ginger Mullins of Spirit Lake, ID, Floyd and Marty Mullins and Chris and Vicky Mullins all of Houstonia, MO. and Lancer and Melody Mullins of Gravis Mills, MO. Also surviving are daughter and husband Eula and Keith Needham and daughter Debbie Mullins all of Fernwood, ID and daughter JoAnn Carney of St. Maries. Henry is also survived by brothers Bobby and Manuel Mullins both of Houstonia, MO. And sister Lucille Cutler of Sweet Springs, MO. 22 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews also survive him. Funeral Services will be Wed. October 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. At the Hodge Funeral Home, St. Maries, ID with Pastor Brian Primer officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Santa, ID with a gathering of family and friends following at the C.A.F. Building in Fernwood, ID.
