Mrs. Ina Beatrice Money Mounce, age 86, passed away suddenly Friday, October 16, 2009 in her home. She was born November 28, 1922 in Surry County to Worth and Sally Smith Money. Mrs. Mounce was a loving wife, mother, and friend. She was a graduate of Elkin City Schools and was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and was actively involved in many aspects including Vacation Bible School, children's nursery, and Women's Christian Circle. She along with her husband Paul were Gold Star Parents. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Paul R. Mounce, a son Sgt. Gerold Mounce, granddaughter Bayley Quinn Anderson Hinson and her Husband Matthew Hinson and their son Nathaniel Paul Hinson, brother Ed Worth Money, sister Genevieve Couch, and a great granddaughter Ivey Nicole Mounce. Survivors include: sons Barry Mounce and his wife Sonya of State Road and Earl V. Mounce and his wife Jane of State Road, daughter Paula Anderson and her husband James G. of State Road, Brothers Everette Money and his wife Marie of Walnut Cove, Conrad Money and his wife Polly of Elkin, Gayle Money and his wife Louise of Inman, SC, sisters Gilda Krueger and husband Ron of Greensboro, Linda Near and her husband Jake of Elkin, sister-in-law Mary Money of State Road, brother-in-law Jack Couch of State Road, special friend Nancy Gentry of State Road, and special friend and neighbor Ruby Snow of State Road. Grandchildren Vickie Mounce, Brian Mounce and wife Jennifer, Beckie Sebastian and husband Scott, Preston Anderson, Jason Swaim and wife Jennifer, Alan Anderson and wife Deann; great grandchildren Garrett Draughn, Jordan Sebastian, Elliott Draughn, Emily Sebastian, Jonathon Whitehead, Dalton Whitehead, Jillian Mounce, Lydia Mounce, Camille Mounce, Georgia Grace Anderson, Ammen Mounce, and Alexander Mounce. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 19, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in Pleasant View Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Wood and Rev. Finley McCoury officiating, Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
