Elkin Mrs. Mary Sue Waldrup, age 71, of Golf Course Road, passed away Saturday December 4, 2004 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Waldrup was born in Surry County May 2, 1933 to Everette and Etta Gentry Wagoner. Mrs. Waldrup was a member of Knobbs Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Waldrup. Four brothers, Jesse, Gene, Johnny, and Ed Wagoner. Survivors include: A daughter and son-in-law, Wanda Wilson and husband Aldean of Elkin. A step son and daughter-in-law, Gary Wagoner and wife, Libby of Jonesville. Two step daughters and sons-in-law, Lestine Wells and husband Gil of Jacksonville Beach, Fl, Rita Winters and husband, Leon of Jonesville. Three sisters and brother-in-law, Nancy Johnson of Elkin, Betty Luffman and husband Albert of Boonville, Martha Moncus of Elkin. Two grandchildren and spouses, Michael Wilson and wife, Victoria. Renee Collins and husband Ben. Three great grandchildren, Justin Collins, Brooklyn Collins, Christian Wilson. Funeral services will be held Monday December 6, 2004 at 2:00 pm at Knobbs Baptist Church by Rev. Danny Bauguess and Rev. Gary Wagoner. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Waldrup will lie instate thirty minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:30-8:30 pm at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
