William Rex Pardue

May 15, 1923 — November 2, 2006

Elkin Mr. William Rex Pardue, age 83, of Austin Traphill Road, passed away, Thursday, November 02, 2006 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mr. Pardue was born May 15, 1923 in Wilkes County to Heaton & Catherine Holcomb Pardue. Mr. Pardue was a member of Central Full Gospel Church and retired from Chatham Manufacturing after 46 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Layell Pardue; a son, Frankie Edward Pardue. Survivors include: a daughter, Joann Pardue of Jonesville; a brother, Clyde Pardue of Virginia Beach; a sister Anna Mae Castellow and husband Bud of Chesapeake, VA; a grandchild, William Pardue of Raleigh. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Central Full Gospel Church by Rev. Bobby Norman. Burial will follow at Victory Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
