Jonesville Mrs. Ruth Johnson Turner went to her Heavenly Reward, on Monday Evening, April 18, 2005 after a short illness. Mrs. Turner was born March 4, 1913 in Yadkin County to Cleveland & Mittie Dickerson Johnson. She served with her late husband, Rev. Walter D. Turner for over fifty years in several Southern Baptist Churches in North Carolina and Virginia. She was a member of Elkin First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Johnson Turner and a sister Lois Johnson. Survivors include: a daughter, Helen Rumley and husband Don of Greensboro; granddaughters, Heather White and husband Geoff of Fayetteville, Haley Byrd and husband Jeremy of Greenville, NC; great grandchildren, Carson White, Adam White and Abigail Byrd. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Bill Johnson. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00-7:15 p.m. prior to the service. A committal service will be held Thursday, April 21, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Forsyth Memorial Park by Rev.
