Amy Day Royall

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Amy Day Royall, age 63, of Jonesville, NC. Amy passed peacefully, surrounded by her children, at Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem on February 23, 2024.

Amy was born in Wilkes County on October 29, 1960, to parents Jack and Aleine Day. She grew up with her brother, Marc, on Bethel Rd and attended Bethel Baptist Church. She loved living in the countryside and being close to family and remained in Jonesville for most of her life.

Amy was a proud and loving mother of four and a doting grandmother of eight. Family was everything to her; she devoted herself to raising her children, caring for her parents, and cherishing her grandkids. She had a big heart and a lively spirit. She was passionate about politics and always believed in acceptance, tolerance, and growing in understanding and in love for others. She was strong, kind, generous, and had a great sense of humor. She will always be remembered as a fierce and fun soul that loved unconditionally, felt deeply, and believed strongly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Aleine Day, and brother, Marc Day. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and countless other relatives and friends who will miss her immensely.
Survivors include: Joseph (Laken) Royall of Elkin and their three sons Colton, Carson, and Grayson; John (Yukie) Royall of Elkin and their daughter Kyla; Maggie (Seth) Reece of Elkin and their daughters Laurel and Isla; Ellie (Krzysztof) Kwasniewicz of Huntersville and their sons Kacper and Konrad; nephew and niece, Kellen and Halle Day; and close cousins, Joey, Karen, and Jimmy Popp.

We are thankful for all the lessons she instilled in us and will hold dear the moments we shared and the memories we created together. She will continue to live in our hearts and will forever remain the cornerstone of our family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at the Elkin Funeral Service at 6:00 pm with Rev. Mark Reece officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 4–6 pm at  Elkin Funeral Service.
