Angie Hawkins Call, age 81 passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025 at her residence in Jonesville. Angie was born March, 20th, 1943 in Elkin to Soloman Ray and Charmie Combs Hawkins.
Angie worked as a housekeeper at Hugh Chatham Nursing Center for 20 years. Angie was a member of Ronda Baptist Tabernacle.
Angie was preceded in death by her parents, Soloman Ray and Charmie Combs Hawkins; husband, Buster Andrew Call; sisters, Gladys Johnson, Pauline Hawkins, and Patsy Dancy; brother, Ray Hawkins; father-in-law, Harrison Call, and mother-in-law Lula Call.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Todd Felts of Jonesville; Grandchildren, Brandon and Nicole Felts of Mt. Airy, Drew and Sonya Lovette of Hamptonville, and Kayla Felts of Jonesville; Great-grandchildren, Lillie Felts, Sawyer Felts, Mercy Lovette, Isaiah Lovette, Noah McGee, Mae Felts, Cole Scott, Isabella Brumfield, Rae Sawyers, and Breanna Sawyers; Sisters, Betty Blackburn of Ronda, Faye Miller of Ronda, and Nancy and Tom Johnston of North Wilkesboro; Brother-in-law, James and Pauline Call; Sisters-in-law, Callie Chatham of North Wilkesboro, Doris Call of North Wilkesboro, and Edna Call of Roaring River; Several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel, with Rev. Drew Lovette and Rev. Brandon Felts officiating. Interment will follow in Ronda Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, P.O. Box 325 Dobson, NC 27017. The family would like to thank Hospice nurse, Sonya Lovette for her love and support.
