Brian Dudley

Mr. Anthony Brian Dudley, age 55, of Elkin passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Dudley was born July 2, 1965 in Surry County to LeeRoy Dudley and Donna Settle Davis.

Mr. Dudley was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church; member of Pleasant Hill Fire Department with 44 years of service, serving as Chief for 12 of those years; and was also a member of the Elkin Rescue Squad from 1983 -1991.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Garvey and June Settle and paternal grandparents, Lee and Louise Dudley.

Survivors include: his wife, Marcia Carter Dudley of the home; son, Cody Gray Dudley of the home; mother, Donna Settle Davis of Elkin; brother, Cass Davis and wife April of Ronda; sister, Lisa Ladd and husband Timmy of Elkin; father and mother-in-law, Larry Dean and Molly Carter of Elkin; sister and brother-in-law, Amy and Shaune Swift of State Road; uncle, James Dudley and wife Pam of Jonesville; aunt, Sandra Reynolds and husband Lee of Elkin; niece, Stephanie Stanley and husband Brian, nephews, Preston Ladd and wife Karin, Tristan Davis and wife Chelsea, Brayden Davis; grand-nieces, Preslee Ladd, Lilyana Stanley; grand-nephews, Bryson Stanley, Avery Ladd, Rhett Stanley; and many cousins.

A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 3:00 pm. at Pleasant Hill Fire Department with Dr. Danny Dodds and Chief Andy Chatman officiating. Interment will be private. Mr. Dudley will lie-in-state Friday from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Fire Department.
