Arvil Harvey Billings

Arvil Harvey Billings, age 93, of State Road, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Pruitt Health Care in Elkin.  Mr. Billings was born February 19, 1930, in Surry County to Samuel Daniel and Synthia Delia Billings.

Arvil retired from Chatham Manufacturing and was a member of Union Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Milford “Butch” Billings, a brother, and five sisters.

Survivors include, three sons, Harvey Billings and wife Phyllis, Stoney Billings, Kevin Billings all of State Road, three grandchildren, Kathy Billings Anderson and spouse Shannon of Millers Creek, Daniel Billings of State Road, Maranda Richardson and husband Bradley of Elkin, four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Steve Stoltzfus, Rev. Jerry Simmons, and Rev. Brian Cardwell officiating.  Burial will follow in Crestwood Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service.
