Barbara Haynes Swaim

Mrs. Barbara Haynes Swaim, age 84, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Chatham Nursing and Rehab.  She was born August 13, 1935 in Yadkin County to James T. Haynes and Alma Bray Haynes. Mrs. Swaim was a member of Elkin Valley Baptist Church and retired from Vaughn-Basset Furniture Company.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Tom Brown; brothers, Tom Haynes and Claude Haynes; and sister, Imogene King.

Survivors include: daughter-in-law, Janet Brown of Clemmons; sister, Doris Holcomb of Boonville; grandchildren, Lauren Dean and her husband Jamie and Meghan Howell and her husband Bryan and six great-grandchildren.

A private family memorial service will be conducted Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Dr. Johnny Blevins officiating.
