Beatrice Louise "Barbara" Lashmit

Beatrice Louise "Barbara" Lashmit, age 77 of Ronda, passed away at her residence on Monday, February 26, 2024. Barbara was born in Davidson County on April 22, 1946, to James and Beatrice Louise Combs.

She was of the Baptist faith. Barbara enjoyed cooking, caring for others, reading, and knitting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emory Spencer Lashmit.

Survivors include step-sons Rick Lashmit and wife Maere Kay, of Dunn, Larry Lashmit of Dunn, Jerry Lashmit, and wife Debbie of Erwin, NC; brothers James W. Combs and wife Milly of Florida, Jerry E. Combs of Snow Hill, NC, Clyde Combs and wife Teresa of Galax VA; step-grandchildren Spencer Lee Lashmit and wife Jessie, Jeremy Charlie Spencer Lashmit and wife Lindsey; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. March 2, 2024, at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Bert Mathis officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Cemetery in Jonesville.

The Lashmit family will receive friends one hour before the service.
