Betty Jordan

Mrs. Betty Jean Jordan, age 84, of Roaring River passed away Friday August 16, 2019 at Chatham Nursing and Rehab Center in Elkin. Mrs. Jordan was born October 17, 1934 in Wilkes County to Garfield and Sarah Burchette Wood. Betty was a member of White Plains Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harley Jordan.

Survivors include: her daughters, Janis Osborne and husband Charles of Ronda, and Annis Hampton and husband Terry of Elkin; grandchildren, Kristy Sidden and husband Greg, and Jill O’Toole and husband Christopher; great grandchildren, Katie Sidden, Lauren Sidden, Ella O’Toole, and Isaac O’Toole.

A funeral service will be conducted Monday, August 19, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor William Souther officiating. Burial will follow in White Plains Baptist Church cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 1:30-2:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.
