Betty Sparks Rose

Mrs. Betty Sparks Rose, age 91, of Elkin passed away Monday, January 4, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Rose was born March 26, 1929 in Wilkes County to Conrad and Hilda Cheek Sparks.

Mrs. Rose was a member of Benham Baptist Church and retired from Centel.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roby William Rose and three sisters.

Survivors include: her sons, Michael Rose and wife Sherry of Raleigh, Ricky Rose and wife Greathia of Elkin, Tony Rose and wife Teresa of Elkin; grandchildren, Garriot Rose, Brandon Rose, Ben Rose, Samantha R. Reikowsky, Joseph Rose; and seven great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, January 17, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Charity United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jason Wiles officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Charity United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 6440 Austin Traphill Rd, Elkin, NC 28621.
