Billy Gray Beamer

Mr. Billy Gray Beamer, age 79, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021 at SECU Hospice in Yadkinville. Billy was born January 24, 1942 in Surry County to Ed and Annie Hodge Beamer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Atkinson and Jennie Marie Beamer. Five brothers, Fred, Grady, Ernest, John and Frank.

Billy retired from Gravely Tractor and was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. He loved Bee Keeping, working on small engines and watching westerns. He had a great love for his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Survivors include: his wife, Laura Gentry Beamer of the home; daughters, Melinda Cockerham and husband Keith of State Road and Sherron Mooney and husband Scott of Elkin; grandchildren, Annie Walters and husband Kelly Calloway, Ethan Caroll, Morgan Cockerham, Leah Cockerham and Chelsea Cockerham; one sister, Sylvia Forsyth of Lexington, S.C. and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

A visitation time will be held Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 2:00-4:00 pm at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. All other services will be Private.
