Billy Harris

Mr. James Bill “Billy” Harris, age 75, of Thurmond passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Harris was born July 16, 1943 in Wilkes County to Aldon and Edith Harris.

Mr. Harris attended Central Full Gospel Church and was an avid outdoorsman. His was happiest when he was surrounded by family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lynn H. Branch and brother, Gene Harris.

Survivors include: his wife of 55 years, Eva D. Harris of the home; daughter, Lisa Harris of Lexington; brother, Donald Harris and wife Margaret of Millers Creek; sister, Juanita England of Millers Creek; grandchildren, Lane Branch and Leah Branch; several nieces; nephews; and cousins.

A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Central Full Gospel Church with Rev. Bobby Norman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
