Mr. Billy Lee Jolly, age 77, of Ronda passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born July 5, 1942 in Wilkes County to James and Opal Childress Jolly.
Mr. Jolly was a member of Ronda First Baptist Church and retired from Chatham Manufacturing. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Jolly.
Survivors include: his wife of 57 years, Marlene Spicer Jolly of the home; sisters-in-law, Nelda Bullins, Lou Ella Spicer and Lois Spicer; brother-in-law, Steve Johnston; nieces and nephews, Marvin Spicer and his wife Janet, Glenn Spicer, John Dale Barker and his wife Kim, Janice Barker Durham and her husband Gary, Tammy Spicer Wiles and her husband Bobby and Robert Spicer and his wife Patsy; great nieces and nephews, Leann Spicer, Marvin Spicer, Jr., Brandon Barker, Levi Barker, Isaac Barker, Adam Durham, Alexis Wiles, Bobby Wiles and Chase Spicer.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Travis Brown and Rev. Danny Bauguess officiating. Burial will follow in Crestwood Memorial Gardens with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital and Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center; special niece, Janice Durham and the many neighbors for all of their care and support.
