Billy Ray Knight

Mr. Billy Ray Knight, age 71, of Hays passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021. Mr. Knight was born July 9, 1950 in Watauga County to Hal Dallas and Carrie Tester Knight.

Billy was retired from Tyson Foods and was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Gentry Knight and one great-grandchild.

Survivors include: his daughter, Amanda Gay Knight of Wilkesboro; three brothers, James Knight of Hays, Jay Knight of Hays, David Knight of FL; three sisters, Maggie Dillard and husband Lannie of Hays, Betty Laws and husband Bud of Hayes, Linda Knight of Hays; grandchildren, Crystal Trivette and Matthew Trivette; and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Bud Laws officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
