Billy Wesley Lyon

Mr. Billy Wesley Lyon, age 85, of Traphill passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023.

Mr. Lyon was born October 15, 1938 in Wilkes County to Lloyd Ervin and Hallie Brown Lyon. Billy was a retired farmer and raised chickens for over 35 years for Wayne Farms.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Lyon and a brother, Herman Grant Lyon.

Mr. Lyon is survived by his wife, Shelby Lyon of the home; son, Keith Lyon and wife, Allison of Traphill; daughters, Pamela Lyon Billings and husband, Michael of State Road, Robbin Lyon Wagoner of Jonesville; grandchildren, Bradley Lyon and wife, Keisha, Kelly Lyon Border and husband, Brent, Corey Billings and wife, Danielle, Presley Bradley and husband Bubba, Jordan Wagoner; great grandchildren, Chloe Lyon, Caden Lyon, Orion Border and Casston Bradley.

A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. David Spicer officiating. Burial will follow at Austin Baptist Church Cemetery.   The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
