Bobby Lee Colbert

Mr. Bobby Lee Colbert, age 76 of Elkin, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.

Bobby was born October 9, 1945 in Surry County to Lem P. Colbert and Lula Arnold Colbert.  He was a member of Calvary Wesleyan Church in Elkin and last worked with NC DOT as a Rest Area Supervisor. He was a member of softball leagues in State Road and Jonesville and a member of a bowling league. Bobby was an avid fisherman and Atlanta Braves fan.  He also worked for many years with Arnold and Colbert Landscaping and was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam Era in Germany.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Colbert and nephews, Peyton Colbert and Chad P. Colbert.

Survivors include: his wife of 53 years, Lynn C. Colbert of the home; nieces, Andrea Reece and her husband Derek and Hannah C. Riddle and her husband Nathaniel; nephews, Alex Cockerham, Cory Cockerham; great nieces, Brittany Kageorge and her husband Edward, Katelyn Reece and Matt France, Lindsay Colbert and her significant other Jonathan Kritselis, Morgan Colbert; great nephews, Schon Reece, Owen Cockerham, Mckinley Riddle, Gentry Colbert, Mason Colbert, Pierson Colbert; great-great nephews, Baker Kageorge and Sutton Kageorge; special aunt, Mary A. Randleman and brother-in-law, Jay Cockerham and his wife Linda.

A private graveside service will be conducted at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
