Bobby L. Martin, age 85, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin.
Bobby was born, September 2, 1938, in Wilkes County to Albert Lee Martin and Frances Johnson Martin Durham. Bobby retired from Multicinema Limited as District Theater Manager and had also worked at The Reeves Theater years ago. Bobby also retired from the Ronda Post Office. Bobby was a member of Flynt Hill Baptist Church, of Wilkesboro. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Sparks; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Jane Parks, and Susie Kathleen Greene; brother-in-law Johnny Callaway.
Survivors include; his wife Alma Sneed Martin of Ronda; daughters, Sherri Martin of Rock Creek, Melissa Collins and husband Randy of Spartanburg, S.C.; sisters, Betty Blackburn and husband Marvin of Rock Creek, Faye Sparks and husband Donald of Boomer, Jenny Lyles and husband Wayne of State Road, Judy Callaway of Statesville; also, several nieces, nephews, great-nephews, great-nieces and a cherished family friend, Susie Kemp.
A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, February 7th, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Ronda Cemetery with Rev. Marvin Blackburn officiating.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
