Bobby Ronald Taylor Sr.

Bobby Ronald Taylor Sr., age 74, of Elkin, NC, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Willowbrook Rehabilitation and Care Center in Yadkinville. He was born in Surry County on April 3, 1949. Bobby was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many.

Bobby owned and operated Taylor Heating and Air. He was passionate about hunting, fishing, racing, and gardening.

He was a member of Thanks to Calvary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Taylor Garris, and stepfather, Lonnie Garris.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Shore Taylor, of the home; sons Bobby Ronald Taylor Jr. and wife Kathy of Elkin and Shane Taylor and fiancée Ashley Wyatt of Ronda; grandchildren Kodi Taylor, Kori Taylor, Macie Bell, Jessica Erdmann, and Zoey Collins; great-grandchildren John Erdmann and Heidi Erdmann; and several cousins.

A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 4:00 pm, at Thanks to Calvary Baptist Church, with Rev. Jeremy Simpson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
