Brenda Holbrook

Mrs. Brenda Joyce Everhart Holbrook, age 73, of Elkin passed away Friday, May 27, 2022 at Pruitt Health of Elkin. Mrs. Holbrook was born December 28, 1948 in Davidson County to Lester Hollis Everhart and Annie Estelle Pardue Everhart.

Mrs. Holbrook was led to the Lord by Pastor Ted Tuggle of Dutchman Creek Independent Baptist Church in Mocksville. She was a wonderful and loving mother and the foundation of her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Claude Wayne Gentry; second husband, A.C. Holbrook; daughter, Joyce Ann Gentry; brother, Jerry Everhart; and sister, Helen Spaugh.

Survivors include: her sons, Tommy Gentry of Elkin, Tim Gentry of Lexington; brothers, Tommy Everhart, Darrell Everhart; sisters, Betty Dorsett Rachels, Kathy Dillard, Ruth Ann Cranford, Jo Spaugh; grandchildren, Joyce Nichole Gentry, Colby Dylan Gentry, and Abigail Rene Gentry.

A funeral service will be conducted Monday, May 30, 2022 at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Ted Tuggle officiating. Burial will follow in Charity United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
