Mrs. Brenda Gail Spicer, age 79, of Elkin, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Novant Medical Center. Mrs. Spicer was born September 27, 1945, in Wilkes County to Conley and Virginia Parsons Milam.
Mrs. Spicer, a dedicated Bank teller at First Union and a devout member of Knobbs Baptist Church, was a woman of many passions. She found joy in reading, playing the piano, solving puzzles, cooking, and collecting cookbooks. But above all, she cherished the time spent with her beloved family.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father and husband, John Albert Spicer.
Survivors include: her mother, Virginia Parsons Milam of Millers Creek; sons, John David Spicer and wife Mary of Elkin, Phillip Edward Spicer and wife Margaret of Elkin; daughter, Debbie Richardson, and husband Chris; brother, Gary Milam and wife Connie of Statesville; grandchildren, Jonathan David Spicer, Samantha Linley, Brittany Howell and husband Elijah, Jennifer Linley, Aaron Spicer, Emily Spicer, and Kyle Spicer; great-grandchildren, Caleb Martin, Aiden Martin, Justin Howell.
The funeral service to honor Mrs. Spicer's life will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Knobbs Baptist Church. Rev. Danny Bauguess and Rev. Mike Smith will officiate, and interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Knobbs Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, a cause dear to Brenda's heart. Contributions can be sent to Sharon Perrone, 4544 Westhill Place, Kernersville, NC 27284. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
