Dr. Bruno S Marcoccia

Dr.  Bruno Sisto Marcoccia, age 62, passed away Friday, December 27, 2024, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin. Bruno was born October 4, 1962, in York Township, Canada, to Francesco and Clara Pigliacelli Marcoccia.

Bruno studied at the University of Toronto, where he received his Bachelor of Applied Science and his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry.

Bruno was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother, Clara P. Marcoccia; wife, Elizabeth Dubois-Marcoccia; brother, John Frank Marcoccia; nieces, Francesca Marcoccia and husband Massimo Affatati, and Carla Marcoccia and husband George Abdel Sayed Yousef; and godson, Giuliano Affatati, and 5 grand nieces and nephews he adored.

All services will be held at a later date in Charlotte.
