Carol Walls Thompson

Mrs. Carol Walls Thompson, age 83, formerly of Ronda passed away Monday, December 7, 2020 at her home in Fayetteville. Mrs. Thompson was born June 9, 1937 in Wilkes County to Ossie and Ruth Sale Walls.

Mrs. Thompson was a member of Maple Springs United Methodist Church and The Red Hat Society. She retired from Wilkes County Schools where she served as the secretary for Ronda Clingman Elementary School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Thompson.

Survivors include: daughter, Janette Miller and husband Scott of Fayetteville; stepson, Jim Meeker of Mocksville; stepdaughters, Diane Meeker Johns of Texas, Patti Rusak of New Jersey; grandchildren, Krystal Wood, Greg Tilley; great-grandchildren, Dillon Tilley, Hailey Tilley, Alexis Kissiah, Michael Benge; cousins, Donna Thompson, Linda Thomas and husband Steve, and William Sale and wife Judy.

A graveside service will conducted Friday, December 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Maple Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.
