Carolyn White Money

Carolyn White Money, age 84, formerly of Ronda, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at TerraBella Cramer Mountain Assistant Living and Memory Care in Cramerton, NC.

Carolyn was born July 22, 1940, in Surry County to Paul and Gracie Callahan White. She was a member of Little Elkin Baptist Church. She always worked hard and loved her Little Elkin Baptist Church church family.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, James Linville Money; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James Howard Money & Edna E. Poplin Money; a sister, Mary Sue White; brothers and sister-in-law, Herchell White and his wife Marie, Charles Larry White, and Benton White; brothers-in-law; Ron Carter, Hugh T. Burchette, and Glenn Kenneth Cheek.

Survivors include her daughter, Sherry Johnson and husband Greg of Gastonia; son, Mark Money and wife Penny of Ronda; brother, Arnold White of Dobson; sisters, Josephine Hardy and husband Terry of Dobson, Rebecca Carter of Siloam; grandchildren; Dustin Johnson, Bradley Money and wife Alicia, and Nathan Money; four great-grandchildren; several loving nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; six great-great nieces and nephews, and her special friends; Faye Tucker and Elton Lay of Elkin, sisters-in-laws Carol Ann Cheek, Elizabeth M. Burchette.

A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Little Elkin Baptist Church, with Rev. Seth Siceloff and Rev. Steve Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
