Clyde Billings

Mr. Clyde Billings, age 73, of Traphill passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mr. Billings was born June 20, 1948 in Wilkes County to Harley and Bessie Murray Billings.

Mr. Billings was of the Baptist faith. He was known for the love he had for his children and special grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Dancy Billings; daughter, Judy Hall; son, Thomas Charlie Billings; brothers, Ray Billings, Clay Billings, Harvey Billings; and sister, Faye Luffman.

Survivors include: his daughter, Teeny Hall of Lenoir; sons, Clyde Billings and his wife Lisa of Lenoir and Carl Billings and his wife Shannon of Traphill; brother, Claude Billings of Austin; sisters, Mae Crouse of Austin and Shirley Billings of Shepherds Crossroads; 12 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, February 20, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Jackie Caudill officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
