Colleen Faye Greene

Ms. Colleen Faye Greene, age 72, of Mt. Airy, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.

Colleen was born September 12, 1951, in Wilkes County to Stuard Lester and Nona Chloe Lewis Greene. She attended Austin Baptist Church. Colleen was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking and gardening. She made lots of friends and enjoyed living at Twelve Oaks Assisted Living.  While at Twelve Oaks, she enjoyed helping take care of the other residents.

In addition to her parents, Colleen was preceded in death by her husband, William Jack Billings, and a brother, James Stuard Greene “Jimmy”.

Survivors include; daughters, Julie Collins and husband Frankie of Mt. Airy, Amy Billings and David Parks of Mt. Airy; son, Bobby Lee Moore; brothers, Clifton Ray Greene and wife Brenda of Ferguson, Rommie Edmund Greene of Wilkesboro, Ronnie Lester Greene of N. Wilkesboro; grandchildren, Alisha Hailey Collins, Leigha Collins Payseur and husband Josh, Arianna Faith Collins, Savannah Grace Collins; great-grandchildren, Waylon Fiore, Amelia Spillman, and several loving nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, April 7, 2024, at 3:30 p.m. at Austin Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Brian Wiles officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service prior to the service.
