Mr. Daryl C. West, devoted son, husband, father, and grandfather departed this life on Friday, August 25, 2023.  He was a faithful member and deacon of Macedonia Baptist Church and a member of The Gideons International. He was a graduate of North Carolina State University and was retired from Associated Heating and Air Conditioning. He believed in taking care of what God had entrusted to him and was a farmer his entire life.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Walter West. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Brenda Blevins West of the home; one daughter, Amy Eller (John) of Huntersville; one son, Dr. James West of Wooster, OH; his mother, Louise Parks West of Roaring River; one sister, Sheila Price (James) of Piedmont, SC; three grandchildren, Noah Eller, Brooke Eller, and Eva Eller, all of Huntersville and many special friends.

A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Smith and Rev. Joel Blevins officiating.  Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
