Dennis Keith Canter Jr.

Dennis Keith Canter Jr, age 53, of Traphill, passed away Friday, August 30, 2024, at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.

Dennis was born in Ohio on October 6, 1970, to Dennis Keith Canter Sr. and Dixie Canter.

Dennis enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, hiking, walking, nature, working in his yard, and enjoyed spending time with Lucas and Breanna Hall. He was a member of Union Baptist Church in Traphill.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dixie Canter.

Survivors include: his wife, Anita W. Canter of Traphill, father, Dennis K. Canter Sr. of Elkin two sons, Joey Edmunds of New York, Timothy Canter of Chesapeake, VA, three stepchildren, David & Amanda Hall of Elkin, Ashley Messick of Elkin, Edward Hamby of Yadkinville, sister, Denise Wade & Frank Charleston of SC, two step-grandchildren, Lucas Hall, Breanna Hall, three grandchildren, Hunter Messick, Paisley Messick, and Jake Messick.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 12:00 pm at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel. A visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm prior to the service.
