Don Brown

Mr. Donald “Don” Everett Brown, age 65, of North Wilkesboro passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Don was born April 30, 1956 in Wilkes County to John Howard Brown and Nannie Savannah Cleary Brown.

Don was a member of Rude Mood Band for over 20 years, where he was a singer, guitar player, and played harmonica. One of his favorite places to hang out was the Vintage Corner where guitar players would bring their guitars and let him put his “Don” on it. Don retired from Masco Corporation.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include: his wife, Teresa Crouse Brown of the home; son, Peter Pilgrim of Medicine Hat, Canada; daughter, Jordan Shianne Brown of Statesville; stepsons, Tyler Sanborn of Ferrum, VA, Winston Osborne of Elkin; grandchildren, Dominik Pilgrim, Jaden Volpi, Jaken Volpi, Karlei Brown; and special friends, Chris Daughtry and Jamie Trollinger.

A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel.
