Donald Franklin Yarboro

Mr. Donald Franklin Yarboro, age 85, of Wilkesboro passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Accordius Health at Wilkesboro. Mr. Yarboro was born May 6, 1936 in Surry to Talmage and Louise Burcham Yarboro.

Mr. Yarboro was a member of Pleasant Home Baptist Church and United States Army veteran. He was a member of the Benham Ruritan Club, where he served as treasurer for many years, and an explorer scout leader for a number of years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Buddy Bruce.

Survivors include: his sister, Carol Bruce of Ronda; niece, Mitzi Sparks and husband Curtis of Ronda; nephew, Marty Bruce and wife Wendy of Dobson; great nieces, Ali Souther and husband Landon, Sarah Bruce, Lakyn Fender and husband Garrett, Abby Bruce; great-great nieces, Ireland Souther, Hadley Fender; great-great nephews, Grover Fender and Braxton Souther.

A private graveside service will be conducted at Little Elkin Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Prevette officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Little Elkin Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1161 Little Elkin Church Rd, Ronda, NC 28670.
