Donna Settle Davis

Mrs. Donna Settle Davis, age 77, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Donna was born August 12, 1944 in Surry County to Garvey and June Lyon Settle.

She was a 1962 graduate of East Wilkes High School and an active member of Thanks to Calvary Baptist Church. Donna was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed crafting and was an avid Bingo player. Her greatest accomplishments were she was saved by the grace of God and on her way to Heaven.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Dudley; son, Anthony Brian Dudley and brother-in-law, Lee Reynolds.

Survivors include: daughter, Lisa Ladd and her husband Timmy of Elkin; son, Cass Davis and his wife April of Ronda; daughter-in-law, Marcia C. Dudley of Elkin; sister, Sandra Reynolds of Elkin; grandchildren who affectionately referred to Donna as “Tee Taw”, Preston Ladd and his wife Karin, Stephanie Stanley and her husband Brian, Cody Dudley, Tristan Davis and his wife Chelsea and Brayden Davis; great grandchildren, Preslee Ladd, Lilyana Stanley, Bryson Stanley, Avery Ladd and Rhett Stanley; nephews, Scott Reynolds and Jason Reynolds and his wife Lori; great nephew, Houston Reynolds and great niece, Maci Reynolds.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Thanks to Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. Jeremy Simpson and Rev. Brett Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Donna will lie-in-state one hour prior to the service at the church. The family requests those in attendance please wear a mask.

The family would like to thank the staff of Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center 5 ^th floor Ardmore Tower, the staff of Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home and the many friends and family for the loving care shown to “Tee Taw” during her illness.
