Donny Lee Harris

Mr. Donny Lee Harris, age 65, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023 at his home in Elkin.

Mr. Harris was born April 11, 1957 in Surry County to Hubert Lee and Peggy Sparks Harris. He was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church and enjoyed wrestling, Carolina basketball, cars, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: wife Wanda Blevins Harris of the home; son Nathan Harris and wife Jennifer of Statesville; daughter Donna Harris of West Jefferson; sister Melinda Walsh and husband David of Jonesville; and grandchildren Mackenzie Harris, Marius Crouse, Brendan Harris and Tyler Harris.

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Mineral Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Wesley Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Crestwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
