Doris Mayes Whiteman

Doris Mayes Whiteman, age 62, of Ronda, passed away Monday, September 9, 2024, at Hugh Chatham Health in Elkin.
Doris was born May 2, 1962, in Surry County to Linda Lawson Mayes. Doris was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Whiteman.
Survivors include her mother, Linda Lawson Mayes; brother, Donny Mayes; sisters, Judy Brown and husband Larry, Sandra Burchette and husband Brian; numerous nieces and nephews; and her feline companion, CAT.
A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Cool Springs Baptist Church, with Pastor Jeff Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
