Dorothy Pepper

Mrs. Dorothy Marie Pepper, age 80, of Ronda passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020 at her home. Mrs. Pepper was born June 21, 1940 in Avery County to Arbie and Dollie Clark Carpenter.

Mrs. Pepper graduated from Crossnore High School and was a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Pepper.

Survivors include: daughter, Loretta Caudle of Yadkinville; sons, Tim Hicks and wife Patty of Traphill, Chris Hicks of Ronda; grandchildren, Amanda Caudle, Patrick Caudle, Scott Hicks, Gauge Hicks; great-grandchildren, Chloe Sanner, Alexander Warden, Bella Hicks, Bailee Hicks, and Brynlee Hicks.

A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Stewart Roten, hospice chaplain, officiating. Mrs. Pepper will lie-in-state from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Wake Forest Baptist Health Care at Home Hospice, 126 Executive Dr., Suite 110, Wilkesboro, NC 28697.
