Doughton Woodle

Mr. Doughton MacAuthur Woodle, age 79, of Elkin passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at his home. Mr. Woodle was born July 6, 1943 in Wilkes County to Ransom Woodle and Verlie Royal Woodle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane Woodle; brothers, Clyde Woodle, Conard Woodle; sisters, Stella Roberts, Ally Walker, Ethel Nichols, and Eva Blankenship.

Survivors include: his wife, Betty N. Woodle of Elkin; son, Brad Woodle and his wife Candice of State Road; brother, Boyd Woodle and his wife Louise of Roaring River; sister, Dicie Franklin and her husband Ben of Columbia, SC; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
