Dwanna Mcglamery Walters

Mrs. Dwanna McGlamery Walters, age 72, of Elkin passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Walters was born August 17, 1949 in Surry County to Percy Paul McGlamery and Betty Ruth Woodruff McGlamery.

She was a member of East Elkin Full Gospel Church and worked for many years at Chatham Manufacturing.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert E. Walters; grandparents, Beulah P. Woodruff and J. Marshal Woodruff; sister, Paulette McGlamery; aunt and uncle, Ann Woodruff and Jimmy Woodruff; aunt, Dorothy Peele, niece, Crystal P. Lyon and cousin, Junior Peele.

Survivors include: sons, B. Rock Hudson and his wife Lanette and P. Chad Hudson; grandson, Ryan Hudson; sister, Becky Lyon and her husband Wade; nephews, W. Timothy Lyon and Clyde C. Lyon III and cousins, Scott and Karen Woodruff, Jamie Woodruff, Ava and Greg Riley, Jean Ashley, Jerrod Wall, Christy and Ethan Neely and their son, Evan and Davis Woodruff.

A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at East Elkin Full Gospel Church Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Childress officiating.
