Edith Osborne Dameron

Mrs. Edith Osborne Dameron, age 80, of Elkin passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home surrounded by many loving family members as she made her journey to Heaven. She was born April 21, 1939 in Wilkes County to Robert Glen and Maggie Edith Kimmer Burchette.

Mrs. Dameron was a member of Austin Baptist Church; a foster mother; and served Meals on Wheels with a smile on her face. Mrs. Dameron was a loving Christian mother, grandmother, wife, sister, sister-in-law, and aunt who loved the Lord and serving others. She could also bake the best cakes in the world!

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Eddie Dewitt Osborne; daughter, Janie Denise Osborne; grandson, Justin Dwayne Osborne; infant grandson, Junior Lee Stamper; brothers, Jimmie Robert Burchette, Granville William Burchette, and Paul Joseph Burchette.

Survivors include: her husband, Rev. Bobby Dameron of the home; sons, Rev. Michael Dewitt Osborne and wife Rusty, Ronald Dwayne Osborne and wife Shannon; daughter, Deborah Osborne Stamper and husband Jesse; step-daughters, Lyvonne Markle and husband Charles, Denise Dameron; brother, Hugh Thomas Burchette and wife Elizabeth; sister, Glenda B. Carter and husband Jimmy; sister-in-law Elizabeth H. Burchette; grandchildren, Amy Holloway, Jordan Stamper, Bryson Stamper, Tasha Hutcherson, Jerome Osborne, Matthew Pardue, Johnathan Pardue, Cory Osborne, Landon Osborne, Brittany Markle, Blake Markle, Rachael Perry, Leah Waddell; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted Friday, August 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Community Fellowship Church with Deacon Phil Simmons and Rev. Ronnie McMillian officiating. Burial will follow in Roaring Gap Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
