Edna Brindle Wall

November 1, 1939 — July 15, 2021

Mrs. Edna Brindle Wall, age 81, of Rural Hall passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021 at her home. Mrs. Wall was born November 1, 1939 in Surry County to Rufus and Ethel Haynes Brindle.

Mrs. Wall was a faithful and active member of United Baptist Church in Winston-Salem where she served with the SonShine Mission Group. She retired from the Forsyth County School System and was an avid gardener, reader, and lover of music. Mrs. Wall was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael D. Wall, brother, Arthur Brindle; sisters, Myrtle Apple, Martha Adams, May Branch, Janet Shinault, and Geraldine Brindle.

Survivors include: her loving husband of 63 years, Jack D. Wall of the home; daughter, Kim W. Ballard and husband Tim of Mocksville; sisters, Nettie Coe and husband Darrell of Winston-Salem, Carolyn White of Dobson; grandchildren, Brian Ballard and wife Ashley, Matthew Ballard and husband Kenny Arnold, Andrew Ballard and wife Sarah; great-grandchildren, Thomas Henry Ballard, Johanna Michaela Ballard; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Bessie’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Will Watson and Rev. Ralph Grose officiating. The family will receive friends following the service inside the church. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at United Baptist Church in Winston Salem.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Sunshine Mission Group, C/O United Baptist Church, 5815 Murray Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27106.

The family would like to thank the staff of the local Rescue Squad; Emergency Medical Service; and Sheriff’s Department for their care.
